The High Temple Workshop is initiating a Technical Sponsorship Program.
The goal of this program is simple, we want to control the escalating costs required to operate the meeting, while providing participating organizations an opportunity to cosponsor the meeting and gain some visibility doing so. In essence, any funds received in the sponsorship program will be used to pay for the operation of the meeting.
Specifically funds will be used to pay for:
Meeting room rental
Audio and visual (A/V) rental
Printing costs (Final program, attendance list, final agenda)
Supplies (nametags, lanyards, etc)
Shipping costs
Other operational costs
At past meetings, a number of companies have sponsored events at the meetings such as the Welcome Reception, Tuesday night dinner and Wednesday night social hour. This program is different. Instead of sponsoring extra-curricular activities, Technical Sponsors will be sponsoring the organization and execution of the meeting itself. This program was suggested by the High Temple Workshop Industry Subcommittee in February 2008. Ideally, this sponsorship will offset the rising costs associated with operating this meeting and will help keep the meeting very affordable for participants.
